In this Q&A, we dive into the world of Ella Raud, a 21-year-old hailing from Stockholm, now making her mark in Berlin, and discuss the current trend of being an "It Girl". With a passion for fashion, music, and art, Ella defines the quintessence of an "It Girl"—a figure of authentic self-expression, confidence mixed with humility, and an undeniable magnetic charm.

In her view, the It Girl's spirit remains undiminished by the internet's double-edged sword, aiming instead to uplift and inspire those around her.

From her cherished morning cappuccino to the eclectic contents of her handbag, including her favorite Stüssy lighter and Shiseido eyelash curler, Ella shares the little joys and essentials of her daily life. She navigates through current fashion trends with a discerning eye, embracing fur coats with a sustainable twist and revealing the staples of her makeup bag.

Join us as we chat with Ella on her outlook on life, and the values that guide her path forward.

A. I'm 21 years old coming from Stockholm but I'm currently living in Berlin. I love fashion, people, music, my family, problem-solving, art, and visiting new places.

I believe in balance in life, just because you like going out with your friends, it doesn't mean you can't have a serious career and enjoy spending time alone.

I am passionate about people believing in themselves and in their potential.

Especially as girls we're expected to always behave and to perform in social situations, but never to become someone, never to be powerful.

People often tell me that I'm confident, and honestly, I believe everyone should be. I understand not everybody has the privilege to fulfill themselves and their personal goals, however, I think often what stops us are ourselves and the societal norms around us.

I truly admire people who break the expectations to become who they want to be, and I aspire to be like that myself.

Q. Little things that bring you joy...

A. My morning cappuccino <3

Q. What's in your handbag?

A. My cowboy Stüssy lighter, a shiseido eyelash curler (def best one on the market), a lip liner, airpods, a mini hairbrush, and hopefully all of the necessary things like my wallet and my keys.

Q. Favorite/least favorite fashion trends at the moment

A. I think fur coats are really cool, but only buy faux fur or vintage!

Q. What's in your makeup bag?

A. Eyelash curler, concealer, mascara, eyeliner, blush, and lip liner.

Q. In your opinion, what makes an It Girl? Do you think the internet killed the It Girl?

A. An It Girl is someone who is not afraid of being herself. She is confident, but humble, wears a lot of secondhand, is a little messy, is the life of the party, always has great hair, and has a mysterious attraction to her.

Nothing kills the It Girl but I think the internet might have a negative impact on others since many are comparing themselves with her. The real-life It girl never wants to bring anyone down, but rather just inspire the people around her.

She's kind and cool at the same time, that's why she's the It Girl.

Q. Tell us your hopes, your dreams, or even your fears

A. I really hope to achieve things in life that I'm proud of.

I want to make a difference for others and inspire people do to the same. I also want to live life to the fullest, not being afraid of change or the unknown. And most importantly I hope to be surrounded by people that I love and that make life joyful.
